NOTIFICATION OF A PLANNED BURN: Hawkins Reserve, Hawkins Road STOCKLEIGH QLD 4280 - TUESDAY 21/4

Logan City Council’s Natural Areas - Operations Team will be conducting a planned burn within Hawkins Reserve, weather permitting, as part of our Annual Planned Burn Program. The size of this burn will be approximately 12.5 hectares within Hawkins Reserve.

🐷🔥 What a fantastic day!

Yesterday we had an absolute blast at the Logan Village Services Club Pig Race, and we are truly honoured to have been selected as one of the beneficiaries of this wonderful event!

Days like these remind us just how incredible our local community is. The support shown for our brigade means the world to every one of our volunteers, and funds raised go directly towards keeping our crew trained, equipped, and ready to serve you.

A huge thank you to the Logan Village Services Club for organising such a fun-filled day, to everyone who came out and cheered on their favourite pig 🐷, and to all who supported us. Your generosity makes a real difference.

We are so proud to be part of this community. Looking forward to the next one! 🚒❤️

Today was a proud day for the Logan Village Rural Fire Brigade.

Earlier at Ormeau, we had the privilege of recognising several of our dedicated members with service medals, acknowledging their years of commitment, hard work, and service to our community. These milestones reflect the time, sacrifice, and dedication our volunteers give so selflessly.

We also took part in the official handover of our new fire truck — a modern dual cab medium attack appliance that will significantly strengthen our response capability.

This type of truck is considered the backbone of rural firefighting across Queensland, designed to respond to bushfires, grass fires and support structural incidents when needed. Equipped with around 1,200 litres of water, a 4WD crew cab, and onboard pumping systems, it allows crews to quickly access difficult terrain while carrying the people and equipment needed to get the job done safely and effectively.

A big thank you to everyone involved in today’s event, and congratulations again to our medal recipients. We’re incredibly proud of our brigade and the people who make it what it is.

Santa is on the move… and watch out — the sneaky Grinch is tagging along! 😏💚
With help from our friends on the fire trucks 🔥🚒, they’ll be rolling through Yarrabilba TODAY from 10am, spreading Christmas cheer, smiles, and a little Grinchy mischief 😉

⏰ Santa’s Park Rules:
🎁 Up to 45 minutes at each park
👀 If no one’s there after 15 minutes, Santa will head off to the next stop
🎄 Miss us? No worries — you can meet us at the next park!
