Today was a proud day for the Logan Village Rural Fire Brigade.
Earlier at Ormeau, we had the privilege of recognising several of our dedicated members with service medals, acknowledging their years of commitment, hard work, and service to our community. These milestones reflect the time, sacrifice, and dedication our volunteers give so selflessly.
We also took part in the official handover of our new fire truck β a modern dual cab medium attack appliance that will significantly strengthen our response capability.
This type of truck is considered the backbone of rural firefighting across Queensland, designed to respond to bushfires, grass fires and support structural incidents when needed. Equipped with around 1,200 litres of water, a 4WD crew cab, and onboard pumping systems, it allows crews to quickly access difficult terrain while carrying the people and equipment needed to get the job done safely and effectively.
A big thank you to everyone involved in todayβs event, and congratulations again to our medal recipients. Weβre incredibly proud of our brigade and the people who make it what it is.
