Today at the wetland.
We have been monitoring and cataloguing wildlife sightings for decades, but more consistently since our Conservation Agreement and our involvement with the Biodiversity Conservation Trust Land Libraries project.
The results are frankly astonishing, with 149 different species including 8 threatened.
Of particular interest were the ultrasonic recordings, identifying 16 species of bat including 3 threatened.
We have had bird sightings recorded by visiting bird experts, which identified 48 and 55 species respectively, observed in just a few hours.
We are a biodiversity hotspot with well-recognised significance
