BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE: Smoke Advice issued for Waikerie

CFS advises that a fire at WAIKERIE is causing smoke to be visible in the Waikerie township area(s).

While this fire does not present any threat to people in the Ian Oliver Drive, McCutcheon St, Fulwood St, Strangman Road and Sturt Hwy area(s), people in the affected area are advised to close all doors and windows and stay indoors if you suffer from any respiratory or cardiac conditions.

Be careful on the roads, as smoke may reduce visibility.

Stay tuned to your local ABC on a battery-powered radio for updates.

LYRUP FERRY TEMPORARY CLOSURE

The Lyrup Ferry will be closed from 9.30am to 3.30pm Thursday 10 August (weather permitting) due to an annual inspection to ensure safety.

Alternative crossings will be: the Paringa Bridge (upstream), and the Berri Bridge (downstream).

We thank ferry users for their patience.

Jag assisted SA Police and the POLAIR helicopter, and together found the missing person.🚁🚓

So proud of our boy! 100% success rate isn't half bad! GOOD DOG 👌💙
