🤩WOW!🤩

How does Brisbane Region celebrate Wear Orange Wednesday?

We go "All Out Orange" and come together in one of our three Units to celebrate with dinner, cake and a side of FUN!

This year we gathered together at Deception Bay Depot, with members attending from all three Units. Our best dressed this year went to our three traffic cones!

Thank you Deception Bay State Emergency Service - SES for your hospitality and Banchetto Caterers for the great food.

A massive shout out to all our volunteers across the Region. WOW is to celebrate you and all that you do for the SES and our communities.

🎉Volunteers acknowledging Volunteers this National Volunteers Week🎉

South Brisbane Rotary Club started off this year's National Volunteer Week hosting a wonderful evening that acknowledged six of Brisbane Region's volunteers among our emergency partners. They were recognised for -

"Providing a service over and above their normal duties through their dedication to their service and contribution to the community".

Congratulations to Mitch, Kitty and Renee from Brisbane SES Unit and to Tony, Mike & Elizabeth from Redland SES Unit. Your commitment to the SES is felt throughout the community.

🧡Happy Mother's Day🧡

This Mother's Day we're celebrating all the mothers and mother figures who support Brisbane Region SES.

Whether you're responding to storms, supporting loved ones from the sidelines or signing up the whole family to support during severe weather - we acknowledge you today!

A shout out to mum, Kristin from Redland SES Unit. Kristin joined with her daughter Lily in 2024. They worked side-by-side to respond to the community after the impacts of TC Alfred. Not long after, in 2025, daughter Ava joined the ranks.

💐Happy Mother's Day from all of us at Brisbane Region SES💐

🎉Brisbane Region 50 Year Celebration Ends on a High at Redland SES Unit 🎉

Redland SES Unit came together to wrap up the 50 Years of SES celebrations this week. Past and present members came together along with their biggest supporters - friends, families and the wider Redland Community.

Redland City Council Mayor, Jos Mitchell acknowledged the many achievements of Redland SES Unit, including the coming together of SES volunteers and the community, to get the Redland Bay Depot off the ground. Thank you to the council for their ongoing support and their contribution to a great event.

It was an absolute privilege to hear from SES Volunteer, Tony Daniels. Tony has been there from the very beginning of the SES and shared some wonderful reflections and insights to the changes that have occurred over time.

A big shout out also goes to Rotary Club of Cleveland for their ongoing support of Redland SES Unit including their involvement on the night, generously providing hospitality for the evening.

Finally, a big thank you to all the members who put together such an amazing night.
