RAINFOREST AWARENESS
Where are the forests located ?
Rainforests are mostly found where there are wet conditions and they can also be located wherever there is more than 1300 millimetres of rain spread evenly throughout the year which is why it is called the average annual rainfall for a rainforest.
There are different types of rainforests which all resive the normal average amount of rainfall for a rainforest and the three different types of rainforests are Tropical rainforest, lowland rainforest and temperate rainforest.
EXAMPLES OF LIFE FORMS THAT LIVE IN A RAINFOREST AND HOW THEY RELY ON THE RAINFOREST ENVIROMENT?
To find out how many different types of animal species there are you have to find the different layers in a rainforest.
There are 5 different types of layers in an average rainforest and that includes Canopy, Micro Climate, Emergent, and Understory and forest floor. (There is a cycle of what it looks like on the photos tab which shows the different types of layers in a rainforest and the different types of species.
Some of the animals include Kookaburra, Native rat, Scrub Python, Green possum, Cassory and many different insects.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KEEP IT TILL THE FUTURE?
if we keep the rainforest intact we cannot take from it but we can find out different types of insects and snakes and or a whole new speeches and we can even hold it for building houses or camp’s for you to go and a whole lot more but it is important to keep it clean and intact and we have try everything we can and even if that means to stop farming for timber and wood from them and farming and logging but we need it for the future. What’s worse is that we are killing animals and there habitats and where getting away scot free and there should be a punishment for people who want to destroy the rainforest who want to destroy the animal’s habitat and themselves.
WHATS THREATENING THEM?
there are many things hurting them but the most of all is us humans and we need to stop this because soon enough there will be no rainforests left if we keep this up and then we'd look back at ourselves and see what idiots we are.
THE 5 MAIN FACTS DESTROYING OUR RAINFOREST ?
The first one is large scale commercial agriculture which is the smallest of all.
The second thing is fires, mining, urbanisation, road construction and dams.
The third thing is logging, legal/illegal.
The fourth thing is small scale subsistence agriculture.
And the fifth thing is the worst and the baldest which is cattle ranches and almost 60% of all the disappearances of the rainforests are caused by this.
We have really got to start thinking about what we are doing here and we have to start sharing our environment with the animals as well.
IDEAS AND STRATEGIES ABOUT STOPPING THIS ONGOING DESTRUCTION OF OUR RAINFOREST ?
There are four main packages that we can take to help stop the logging and destruction of our rainforests.
PACKAGE NUMBER ONE: we can protect the remaining rainforests so that they can grow and thrive and expand through our future.
PACKAGE NUMBER TWO: we can the rainforests without destroying them and make land marks there for people to come.
PACKAGE NUMBER THREE: to use alternative timber so that people can stop the logging and farming. Yes it will take longer but it will save our rainforests.
PACKAGE NUMBER FOUR: we can act now and go to the companies who are logging our rainforests and give them a piece of our mind.
