Council invites community feedback on the Draft Aquatics Facilities Strategy 2026-2036, developed after specialist consultants LARCAN undertook a detailed analysis of data, needs and demands and conducting engagement with key stakeholders and the community.

This draft is now available for public review and constructive feedback at our Engage Moyne website at:

It has been another amazing season! A huge thanks to the amazing committee who go out of their way so you get the best experience possible. Our incredible Life Guards who not only keep you safe, they also do a lot of the cleaning and keep the venue tidy. They also keep you all entertained. Thanks also to the Moyne Shire for their support and allowing us to do what we do. We also have many volunteers who help out on busy days with bbq's and in the kiosk. You patrons also have been amazing. Everyone is so polite and show great respect to everyone- thank you, that's why we keep doing what we do!
School swim program- Macarthur, Branxholme & Penshurst combined for 2 fun weeks of swim lessons provided by the splash factory.
We also hosted 2 weeks of VICSWIM. With 88 enrolments over both weeks.
Brendan's after school squad and swim program was also well supported with over 60 enrolments.
SANTA came to visit on the Macarthur fire truck. No shortage of lollies.
AUS DAY- what a day! Inflatables, Pancakes, fire truck, Raffle and more. Thanks to our cfa for allowing the kids to sq**rt the hoses. It was an amazing day fund raising for RCH $1000 and Blaize Aid $500.
MIK MAKS- were amazing. Hopefully we can get them back again!
We also hosted many bday parties and inflatable days.
Muleraterong also came down for a fun day making use of the pool, slide and splash pad.
Thank you all for your support and hope to see you all again next summer celebrating 60 years! The splash pad is still open for public to use!

Dear Community Members,

The Macarthur Pool will celebrate 60 years of operation this November, marking an important milestone for our town and for the many people who have enjoyed the pool over the decades. As part of the celebration, the committee is gathering historical information to honour the pool’s past and the role it has played in our community.

We are seeking to identify and connect with members of the original committee involved in the construction of the pool in 1966. Their firsthand knowledge and recollections would be invaluable in helping us understand the origins of this important community asset.

We are also inviting the community to share stories, memories, photographs, or any other historical material that can help us build a richer picture of the pool’s history. Whether you were involved in its early days or simply have fond memories of summers spent at the pool, we would love to hear from you.

Every contribution—big or small—helps ensure that the legacy of the Macarthur Pool is preserved for future generations. Your materials may be used in displays, presentations, or publications as part of the 60‑year celebration.

The Swimming pool committee hosted Mulleraterong,6 bus loads, for a fun filled day of swimming and splashing around in the splash pad followed by BBQ lunch and icecream. We always love welcoming them to our pool. Here is a piece they put together.
