Congratulations to everyone behind the inaugural Budj Bim Lava Blast, what an incredible event! 💜

Held in the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Budj Bim National Park, this brand new running festival brought people from near and far to Macarthur, all while raising much-needed funds for the Macarthur Swimming Pool. It is a fantastic example of a small town backing its own community facility, and the result speaks for itself.

A huge congratulations to the organisers and the many volunteers who gave their time to pull the day together. Events like this take months of planning and plenty of heart, and it showed.

We were thrilled to support the event through sponsorship, provide some much-needed shade on the day and mark the finish line with our blow-up arch. Seeing runners cross under it was a real highlight.

Congratulations also to every participant and place getter. Whether you were chasing a podium finish or soaking up the scenery with the family, you were part of something special.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported the Macarthur Swimming pool Budj Bim Lava Blast running festival. We hope you found some familiar faces from the pool. We were all there, 3 of the lifeguards ran, while others assisting on the courses. We can't wait to see you all back at the pool in Summer.

A special mention needs to go to Peter Musson for his time and many hours spent assisting Katherine to bring it all together. Peter mapped the trails out, ran them and without his expertise and support, we could not have held this event.

Thank you so much Peter, we really appreciate your time and effort and hopefully we will be back next year.
