The Macclesfield Cheese Factory

The Macclesfield Cheese Factory Follow the restoration of this Macclesfield icon as it's returned to its former glory. So what are the future plans for the building?

Built in 1937, the former Macclesfield Cheese Factory had once been an institution in the hills for many decades, Sadly years of neglect and vandalism has left this once integral part of the Macclesfield community in a derelict and unsightly state. Therefore, the purpose of this page is to share the progress of returning the factory to its original condition so it can once again be an operating an

d functional part of the town. The owner is currently working with appropriate authorities to determine its optimum use, and ultimately it is their endeavour to resurrect the building for light industry and or residential tenancy under Home Industry Zoning guidelines to increase employment opportunities and a wider interest in the Macclesfield Community. You are welcome to contact us to register your interest as a prospective tenant. A big thank you goes to the Macclesfield History Group for providing us with original photos of the factory.
