🎻 Southside Strings Fest 🎻

What a fantastic day of music, learning and friendship for our Victoria Park State School Senior String Ensemble! 🎶

Our students joined Mackay West State School, Chelona State School and students from Mackay High SS to learn brand-new pieces, develop new playing techniques, and discover different ways to practise and tackle unfamiliar music.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and enjoy making music together. 🎻

A big thank you to Mrs Kristen Pengelly for leading the day, and to Ms Sue Mora, Miss Menzies, Miss Skinner and Mrs Teong for their support and encouragement.

🏴‍☠️ ARRR MATEY! OUR LITTLE PIRATES SET SAIL! 🏴‍☠️⚓

Ahoy, future Preppies!

This morning’s Get Set for Prep was a swashbuckling adventure filled with fun, laughter and plenty of pirate mischief! ☠️💎

Our little pirates searched for buried treasure, splashed about with water play, created their very own pirate necklaces and puppets, and even walked the plank before taking the helm to steer the ship! 🚢🏴‍☠️

Yo ho ho! What a treasure of a morning! 🏴‍☠️✨
