Haven’t pre-ordered? No worries! Tickets can still be purchased at the door for $5, and the Fitzy Tuckerbox will be open with food available to purchase throughout the night.

A little something special for our Year 6s…

At 7:45pm, the main disco will finish and our Year 6 students will get their final 30 minutes together for their very last primary school disco. 🥹🫶

They’ll get to choose their own fun music, dance, be silly and just enjoy one last disco together before their primary school chapter comes to an end.

We can’t wait to see all of our Fitzy kids dressed up and ready for a spooky night of dancing, food and fun!

See you at the Monster Mash!

Congratulations Drama Group!

Last Sunday our Drama Group performed at the Mackay Eisteddfod in the Dramatic Excerpt Group Year 6 and Under Section. Each week they have come together to bring the story of ‘Superheroes…Sort of?’ to life. There were missing cats, villains causing chaos, confused bystanders and a superhero support session. All students brought lots of energy, laughs and joy to the stage and we are excited to share they received 3rd Place. This is an incredible achievement, and we are incredibly proud of everyone involved.

🌟 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO MRS SCOTT!🌟

We are incredibly proud to congratulate our Dance and Drama teacher, Mrs Samantha Scott-Girgenti, on receiving a Teacher Lifetime Contribution Award at the 2026 Wakakirri Story-Dance Festival! 🏆💃🎭

Wakakirri recognised Mrs Scott's incredible dedication to the festival, including an amazing 21 years of participation with Fitzgerald State School (and many more years with other schools along the way!).

We are so lucky to have such a passionate, dedicated and inspiring educator at Fitzy who creates such extraordinary opportunities for our students!

Thank you, Sam, for the countless hours, creativity and heart you pour into our students and their performances. Your commitment has made a lasting impact on so many young people, and this recognition is so well deserved! ❤️✨

🔬🚀 HSC STEM Day Challenge 2026! 🤖🌟

Today, a group of our Year 6 students, supported by Miss Tynan, had a fantastic day putting their creativity, problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test at the HSC STEM Day Challenge! Students took on a range of fun and challenging activities, including LEGO robotics 🤖, a treehouse design challenge 🌳, marble runs and motorised paper planes! ✈️

It was a wonderful opportunity for students to think outside the box, work collaboratively and put their STEM skills into action. There were plenty of challenges, laughs and great learning experiences along the way!
A big thank you to Ms Nicole Watson and her team at Holy Spirit College for organising and hosting such an engaging event, and to the sponsors of the day - QMEA, Daly Bay, Richglen, Key Solutions Group and FMS Group.

👏 Well done to all our Year 6 students for showing persistence and representing our school so proudly!
