🎶 South-Side Band Fest - Seniors 🎶

A wonderful day of music, learning, and community connection! Our Instrumental students, Ella and Asheera, attended the South-Side Band Fest for Seniors on Wednesday, 2 September, at Victoria Park State School.

Students worked together to build their musical skills and confidence, finishing the day by performing five pieces, including three that they had only learnt that day!

This wonderful collaboration between Mackay West SS, Mackay Central SS, Victoria Park SS and Mackay SHS provided a fantastic opportunity for students to learn from one another, develop leadership skills and strengthen connections across our school communities.

With the 2027 Instrumental Music Program on the horizon, we’re now starting to look for Grade 3 and 4 students who are interested in learning an instrument! Keep an eye out for more information about signing up.
