Communities in Northeastern NSW should monitor conditions as flash flooding and minor river rises are possible.

Widespread rainfall is forecast across the state today, before shifting to eastern areas, particularly the Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers, during the first half of Tuesday.

Moderate rainfall totals of 40-70mm are likely, with locally heavy falls of 100-150mm possible with slow-moving thunderstorms.

⚠️ With the predicted rainfall, minor flooding is possible across Northeastern catchments including the Richmond, Wilsons, Orara, Bellinger and Nambucca Rivers and Coffs Creek.

NSW SES has issued four advice-level warnings for people in Bellingen, Coutts Crossing, Coffs Harbour, Thora and surrounds to stay informed.

🚘 Flash flooding can occur quickly and without much warning.

Steer clear of floodwaters – if you come across a flooded road, turn around and find an alternative route.

📲 Download the Hazards Near Me app to stay across the latest information and warnings and set up a watch zone so you are notified with local warnings.

If you need assistance during storms of floods, call the NSW SES on 132 500.

In a life-threatening emergency, always call Triple zero (000).
