Formed in 1914, the Maffra Fire Brigade is a class 4 Urban brigade, the second largest in District 10. Come and visit us at the Maffra Rotary Club Market this Sunday. Members will be on hand to answer questions about Smoke alarms, Home fire safety and Volunteering, we will also be cooking the BBQ. Thanks to Bennetts Electrical for sponsoring the meat from Ranfords Family Butchers.

Hi all.

The attached planned burn will be ignited shortly by crews from CFA and FFMV.

If you see smoke from that general area this is most likely why.

The Fire Danger Period is ending after Easter.
If you’re planning to burn off make sure it’s safe.
Always register your burn and check the weather before and in the days after.
If you light it you own it.
Check if restrictions apply, outside of the Fire Danger Period you may still need a permit to burn in some council areas.

Good Friday is almost here again!

With one week to go the Maffra CFA volunteers are busily working behind the scenes for our annual Good Friday Appeal Door knock and fundraising.

With the help of our amazing community we are able to help raise so much more for the Royal Children’s hospital and the sick kids that need our help.

If you’re able to spare an hour or even a few hours on the day to door knock for donations we would all greatly appreciate your help.

We will be ready to start from 9.30am on Good Friday, 3rd April. From Maffra fire Brigade.
