Have you ever visited Bellbird Corner Riverside Reserve and enjoyed the views, paths, picnic area, native vegetation and wildlife? Do you know that it is maintained by a small group of volunteers? We're planning a working bee and meeting at Bellbird on Saturday 2nd November, and welcome new faces. Details below.

A public meeting will be held at Bellbird Corner on Saturday 2nd November at 10am, to nominate between 3 and 9 people as the Committee of Management for 3 years. The current committee's term will expire on 17th November. All positions will be declared open and nominations will be accepted prior to or on the day. Nominations from women, Aboriginal people, people with disabilities, young people and people from culturally diverse backgrounds are encouraged.

There will be a working bee before the meeting, from 9am, followed by morning tea. All welcome.

Please let us know if you would like to attend either the working bee or the meeting, or both, by dm to this page, so we know to expect you.

Bellbird Corner is a gorgeous natural reserve to take your dogs for a run, play or splash in the river. Happily, most dog owners are considerate and respectful. Unfortunately, we have had some issues lately with dogs harassing other visitors and their dogs, and going through fences to chase and harm livestock. Some behaviour from dog owners, when asked to control their wayward dogs, hasn't been very good either.
Please be aware that even though dogs are allowed off lead at Bellbird, they must be under your control at all times. This means they should remain in your sight and come back to you immediately when you recall them. They should not harass or harm wildlife, other visitors (including cyclists, other dogs, and horses and their riders), or livestock. If you do not control your dog you could face penalties including court action, fines and damages.
Let's keep Bellbird a beautiful and safe place for everyone to enjoy!

Thank you to Wellington Shire Council for providing a recent grant opportunity for community committee volunteers through the Reactivating Community Facility Volunteers Grants.
The grant has allowed us to purchase a pole saw, a much-needed piece of equipment which enables our hard-working volunteers to safely clear tracks of overhanging vegetation, maintaining the health of our beautiful trees, and helping to keep Bellbird Corner accessible for our many visitors.
Thank you for the support Wellington Shire Council!
