The Hotshots Jazz Band are playing at the Magill RSL tomorrow night (Friday 4 Sept), so if you enjoy FREE, LIVE, JAZZ music (and who doesn’t?) come along for a night of entertainment. The band starts at 6:30pm and plays until 8:30pm. The heaters will be cranked and the drinks will be flowing.
8 Lorne Ave, Magill, 5072. With parking at the rear car park.
Club opens at 3:00pm.

This coming Tuesday, 1st September is Veterans Lunch at the Magill RSL Sub-Branch. It’s open to all veterans, their partner and or caregivers. It’s a free lunch of fish, chips and coleslaw with a mystery dessert. The aim is to bring like-minded people together in a comfortable and relaxed environment to socialise and have a few laughs.
There will be a small .50c raffle conducted on the day, So bring your spare change along.
The heaters will be cranked up high so don’t let the cold weather deter you from coming along.
You do not have to be an RSL member to come along as it’s open to all veterans.
Club opens at 11.30 am, so why not do something for yourself and get out and enjoy a free meal on us.

Today Magill RSL Sub-Branch President, Meredith Burgess placed a tribute at the State Vietnam War Memorial at Torrens Parade Ground on behalf of the Sub-Branch and all Vietnam Veterans from the area who served in the Vietnam War.
To all Vietnam Veterans, thank you for your service. Today we pause to remember the ultimate sacrifice of those who did not return home and those who did return but were forever changed. We Will Remember Them. Lest We Forget.

It’s Schnitty night again this Friday 14 Aug 26 at the Magill RSL from 5.30pm. Come along and enjoy a delicious freshly cooked chicken or beef schnitzel with plain or mushroom gravy, chips and coleslaw, all for $15 or $12 if you’re a Magill RSL member. Dessert will be served after the main meal at a cost of $4.
We will have a raffle on the night for .50cents a ticket.
Bookings preferred for catering purposes. Bookings can be made via messenger or by phoning the club and leaving a message prior to 4pm Thursday.

This coming Friday 7 August is Jazz night again at the RSL Magill. It’s free entry with light snacks served for a donation. Bar opens at 3.00pm and the band starts at 6.30 pm until 8.30 pm. Give yourself a night out and come and enjoy our warmth and entertainment.

Members pleased be advised that at the conclusion of Veterans lunch on 4 August 2026 at 2.00pm at the Magill RSL (8 Lorne Ave Magill), we will be holding a Special General Meeting.
The Agenda for the SGM is two fold, firstly to pass the recently approved By-Law N1 Constitution for Sub-Branches with all Amendments applicable to Magill RSL Sub-Branch Incorporated included. The second agenda item is to approve the expenditure of up to $24900 for the bar cabinetry.
All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
As per the State By-Law N3, only Service and Life Members can vote on constitutional matters (Agenda item one). All Service, Life and Affiliate members can vote on agenda item two.
This SGM requires a quorum of Service Members, so I encourage you all to attend if available.
Any Affiliate members wishing to attend Veterans lunch prior to the SGM on this day, please contact Meredith prior to 30 July to book in. There may be a small cost associated with lunch.

Tomorrow is our much anticipated second Friday of the month schnitty night! Come join us for your choice of beef or chicken schnitzel with plain or mushroom gravy, chips and coleslaw.

Please note, due to rising costs, we have had to adjust some prices at the RSL, including bar prices and meals. We’ve kept the rise as minimal as we could, so you’ll still find our price very affordable, and we’re staying with the same high quality products. Please see below for new pricing of meals.

Magill RSL Members: Main meal $12
Non-members: Main meal $15
Dessert: $4 per serve
