🌟 Readers Cup 2026 Success! 📚
Yesterday, a fantastic team of students from Cooyar State School and Tanduringie State School took part in the Readers Cup 2026 Challenge.
Competing against 18 teams from local schools, our students showed incredible teamwork, dedication, and a real love of reading.
We are extremely proud to share that they achieved an outstanding 5th place overall! 👏✨
Congratulations to all involved on this wonderful achievement — you have represented your schools brilliantly! 💙📖

This week at Playgroup the children made an Octopus 🐙each. They navigated threading pipe cleaners through holes on the paper plates for tentacles, glued on googly eyes and decorated their very colourful sea creature with pens, sequins and crepe paper. Our day finished off with a play in the much-loved sand pit ⛱️🪣.

On Wednesday 10 June, we were delighted to welcome first responders from Yarraman Ambulance Service, Yarraman SES, and the Maidenwell Rural Fire Brigade for a special morning tea with our students and staff.
This was our small way of saying thank you for the incredible work they do to keep our community safe 💛
During their visit, paramedics shared valuable, practical knowledge with students — including what to say when calling 000, how to apply a compression bandage, and what to do in the event of a snake bite.
It was a meaningful and informative experience for everyone involved, and we are so grateful for the time and care these amazing community members give to our school.

🎉 Queensland Day Celebration 🎉
To celebrate Queensland Day, our students joined an incredible 900 students from 67 schools in Queensland’s Biggest Online Classroom! 💻🌏
They participated in a special lesson through the Department’s Queensland Virtual Academy and were inspired by guest speaker, Hon. John-Paul Langbroek, Minister for Education and the Arts.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate all things Queensland! 💙

🎉 Year 5 GRIP Leadership Conference 🎉
On Friday, our Year 5 students attended the GRIP Leadership Conference at Kingaroy Town Hall.
They took part in fun, interactive activities while learning about the important qualities of effective student leaders. 🌟
It was a fantastic opportunity for students to build their confidence and develop valuable skills to support them in their leadership roles. We’re proud of their enthusiasm and participation! 👏
