Now that the fire risk has subsided we have had time to reflect on what a massive start to the year our brigade faced. Maindample CFA is sending a massive thank you to all their members, families, supporters and behind the scenes people, along with the countless businesses which allowed our members to be absent from work to help protect the community. Words cannot describe the way in which our communities pulled together and rolled up their sleeves to get it done. There is still a long road ahead for soo many families and communities affected by the events of this year.

A Total Fire Ban has been declared for the North Central and North East fire weather districts for Wednesday 11 March 2026.

No fires can be lit, or be allowed to remain alight, in the open air from 12:01 AM until 11:59 PM.

Maindample Ultra light and Tanker had a big day at this area of the fire as well as manning local callouts. Well done team.
