❓Are you aware of your responsibilities when undertaking a pile burn on your property?

🚨Over the past few days brigades within the Far South Coast District have attended a number of escaped pile burns. A fire is not out once you cannot see flame.
Residual heat will remain for a number of days or weeks in the ember bed, which can escape when you are least expecting it.

Todays hazard reduction burn on Burke St in Majors Creek went very well.
Thank you to the two crews from Araluen RFS and the two crews from Braidwood RFS who came to assist. Hopefully you took something away from the experience.
Well done and thanks to everyone who took part and gave up their Sunday.

Up to 6 x local appliances and 20 plus RFS volunteers on site
From 11 am till approx 5 pm

Well it finally happened.
Majors Creek are the proud custodians of a brand new Cat 1 fire truck.
It's big and it's shiny and will enhance our collective fire fighting capabilities.
Give us a wave if you see us driving around 👍.
