Building a stronger future for Mandurah's children and families 👶📊

Thank you to everyone from across the early years sector who joined us for the Mandurah AEDC Data Workshop.

Facilitated by the Australian Child and Youth Wellbeing Atlas, the workshop explored Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) data and local child wellbeing indicators to better understand the strengths, challenges and opportunities for children and families in Mandurah.

The session brought together local service providers, community organisations and stakeholders to reflect on what the data is telling us, share on-the-ground insights and identify priority areas for collective action.

The workshop findings will help inform the development of the next Mandurah Early Years Action Plan, supporting a coordinated approach to improving outcomes for local children and families.

That's why we're pleased to share this opportunity from the City of Mandurah for young people to join their Youth Advisory Group.

Initiatives like this help build leadership skills, encourage civic participation and ensure the perspectives of young people are reflected in decisions that affect their future.

Agencies connect with Peel community organisations

The Peel Development Commission welcomed last week representatives from community organisations across the Peel region to meet with members of the Regional Awareness and Accessibility Program (RAAP).

The session provided an opportunity to network, build relationships and learn more about the range of services available to support community members across Western Australia. Representatives from Ombudsman WA, Consumer Protection WA, the Equal Opportunity Commission WA and the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman attended to share information about their roles and how they can assist individuals, families and organisations.

Bringing these agencies together in one place created valuable opportunities for local organisations to strengthen connections, improve referral pathways and increase awareness of services available to the Peel community.
