We were fortunate to receive a Grassroots Grant from the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board, which has enabled us to purchase a spray trailer to support w**d control works across our Murraylands and Riverland nature reserves. The trailer has already proven highly effective at Lenger Reserve, where it has been used to control onion w**d, horehound, wild sage, gazanias, and other invasive species.
In addition to w**d management, the unit will be an invaluable asset for watering revegetation plantings at multiple reserves throughout the long, dry summer months. Its compact, user-friendly design makes it well suited for use by both volunteers and staff, with the ability to access narrow tracks and trails.
Through this grant, we have also been able to purchase herbicides and engage contractors to undertake control works targeting w**ds of national significance. We sincerely thank the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board for their ongoing support ππ
