This page is monitored by Council staff during office hours Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Where possible, emergency updates will be provided after-hours. Council welcomes comments, questions and feedback through this page. Staff will respond to requests as quickly as possible but sometimes more detail is required before a full response can be posted and therefore a response may be delayed. Council has an established Customer Service Request system (CSR) to help direct and deal with requests for service from the public. No requests will be accepted through Councilโ€™s page. Councilโ€™s page is not the correct place to report dangerous situations or urgent issues. Residents should contact Council on 8569 0100 (after-hours call centre available if there is an emergency outside business hours).

๐Ÿ“ŒThe Blanchetown Old Ferry toilets will be temporarily closed from the 20 June 2026 to the 22 June 2026 to allow for maintenance works.

The next available toilets for use will be located at the Blanchetown Oval.

โฐ Closed from 20 June 2026 to the 22 June 2026.

Mid Murray Council has updated its Renewable Energy Community Benefit Sharing Policyโ€”and your input is still important!

After receiving 22 submissions on the original draft, Council has reviewed the feedback and made changes to better reflect community views.

The updated Policy explains how contributions from renewable energy projects could be collected, managed and shared across our region.

Weโ€™re now inviting the community to take another look and tell us what you think.

๐Ÿ“ฃA wide range of infrastructure works has been completed within Mid Murray Council this month, including:

๐Ÿ› The Truro Swing Set has now been installed at Pioneer Park and is open to the public (pictured).

โš’๏ธ The three small shelters at Len White Reserve Riverfront have been replaced under the Community and Recreational Asset Restoration Program (CRARP).

โ›ˆ๏ธ Storm damage clean up has commenced throughout the region.

๐Ÿ’ง The installation of the Automated Water Delivery Stations funded by the Primary Industries and Regions South Australia (PIRSA) through the Strengthening Industries Program has been completed.

๐Ÿงน Culverts and SEP cleaning has been completed in various areas.

๐Ÿงป Additional toilet roll holders have been installed in Sedan Public toilets.

๐ŸŒณ Tree trimming has been completed at the Sedan Hall in preparation for the water tank installation.

๐ŸŒน Burial preparations have been undertaken at the Tungkillo and Mannum Cemeteries.

โš’๏ธ Guideposts have been installed at the Bowhill Reserve.

Applications for Field Managers and Mobile Field Representatives are now open in locations all over Australia.

Field Managers will lead Census work in our local area. Theyโ€™ll recruit, train, and manage a team of Field Officers to ensure high quality data collection.

Mobile Field Representatives travel within their region to support Census field teams.

The ABS is looking for a broad range of people to reflect the diversity of Australia.

Mid Murray Council is proud to introduce our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2026โ€“2030.
This Plan sets out how weโ€™ll make Mid Murray more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for everyone.

Developed with input from our community, this Plan focuses on:

โœ… Improving access to buildings, spaces, and services
โœ… Making information easier to find and understand
โœ… Supporting inclusive programs, events, and opportunities
โœ… Strengthening community connections and participation

Over the next four years, weโ€™ll be working to remove barriers, improve accessibility, and embed inclusion into everything we do.
