After such a wonderful response to her last class, we’re so excited to welcome Adeeba back to the MACE Community Kitchen for another morning of authentic Pakistani cooking!

Adeeba will once again share the flavours, traditions and techniques behind some of her favourite Pakistani dishes in this relaxed, hands-on cooking class.

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵!

Our first Spanish Language Lessons with Xiomara have wrapped up, and what a fantastic first six weeks!

The group has been learning practical, everyday Spanish in a relaxed and social setting, with plenty of conversation, laughs and a little Latin culture along the way.

Originally from Argentina and now part of the Mansfield community, Xiomara has loved sharing her language and culture with the group, and the response has been fantastic.

So, we’re doing it again! A new six-week block begins Saturday 3 October, with a new group ready to start their Spanish journey.

No previous Spanish is needed, so if you’ve always wanted to learn, this is a great place to start.

🏓 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗮? 🏓

Our 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀’ 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 is a relaxed, social afternoon for anyone who feels like getting out of the house, having a bit of fun and meeting some lovely people.

You definitely don’t need to be a table tennis pro. All abilities are welcome, and there’s no pressure or competition. We play for an hour, have a laugh, then head to a local café for coffee afterwards ☕️

𝗔 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻!

Last week’s 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 class was an absolute feast, with the wonderful Lizzie sharing some of her beautiful traditional Filipino recipes and teaching our group how to recreate them for themselves. Together they cooked, learned and shared their way through three delicious dishes, with plenty of stories, tips and laughs along the way.

🍜 Pancit Lug Lug (Palabok) - a colourful noodle dish loaded with flavour
🍗 Waterless Chicken Tinola - our take on the viral version, inspired by Chinese-style chicken steaming and traditional Filipino flavours
🥥 Ginataang Kalabasa at Sitaw - pumpkin and beans cooked in a beautiful coconut sauce

There’s something pretty special about bringing people together around food. New flavours, new skills, plenty of conversation and, of course, getting to sit down and enjoy everything at the end! ❤️
