During Week 3, Margate Primary School proudly hosted a Scholastic Book Fair, with the goal of engaging our families and supporting our school’s strong focus on reading.

We initially set a target of $2,000, but thanks to the incredible support from our school community, we were thrilled to exceed expectations, raising an outstanding $6,620 in total sales!

As a result, we have earned $1,324 in rewards for our school, which will go directly towards refreshing and expanding our library collection. This means more exciting, high-quality books for our students to enjoy and borrow.

Please note that if you have placed an order, it has now been submitted and should arrive shortly.

A huge thank you to all the students, families, and staff who supported the Book Fair. A special mention to the volunteers who helped Ms Longey, Tammy and Cindi during the busy mornings and afternoons. Your enthusiasm and generosity have made a lasting impact on our school’s reading resources! 📚📕📖

Prep Platypuses have been busy learning about animal features and habitats. To show our understanding we have created a collaborative artwork.

Year 5 Quolls are learning about properties of matter as a part of our Chemical Science inquiry. We observed 10 different materials and identified their physical properties by asking questions such as:
Does it change shape easily?
Does it pour easily?
Is it easy to squish?
Does it stretch?
Can you cut it with scissors?
Does its shape depend on the shape of its container?
