🔎Students have examined the properties, uses and importance of these naturally occurring materials.

💎 This week children have been fossicking and observing properties of minerals and rocks. Check out their great finds!

Congratulations to our fabulous Albert Chess Club, who performed brilliantly at the Term 2 Wide Bay South Chess Tournament.

We are so proud of your resilience and determination. You represented Albert State School beautifully. Well done!

Today for their FEAST cooking experience, our 4/5 class chose to make delicious vegetarian San Choy Bau.

For many of our students it was their first taste of tofu. It was wonderful to see everyone giving a new food a go, and the majority of students came back for seconds of this tasty dish!

Our 4/5 students are thoroughly enjoying working their way through the OzHarvest FEAST Programme, expanding their palettes, and learning new life skills along with valuable lessons about food sustainability practices.

What an amazing opportunity for them 🤩🤩

Our Student Council is SUPER excited to have completed their first project for 2026, providing portable soccer goals for lunchtime use on our oval!

All of our students have been thrilled to have access to the oval space back after upgrades to the tennis court and the removal of an unsafe tree. With soccer being one of our most popular lunch activities, the Student Council decided it was time for an upgrade from using the fences as goal posts.

Thanks to our school community for supporting our fantastic group of leaders... we can't wait to see what they're planning next!

4/5W have the exciting opportunity to attend an excursion to the Gympie Gold Mining & Historical Museum in Week 9 as a part of their learning this term.

Please check QParents for more details and to provide consent for this excursion. Consent & payment is required by 5 June (families do have the option to allocate a portion of their Back to School Boost to this excursion).
