Update 27 August: Bitter Springs has now reopened.

⛔ Bitter Springs Closure ⛔

To ensure visitor safety, Bitter Springs loop walk and swimming has been closed following the report of a large freshwater crocodile today.

The waterhole is closed to allow rangers to undertake crocodile management activities as per the risk management plan.

Mataranka Thermal Pool remains open for those looking to take a dip.
