Join professional chef and food storyteller Tim Hollands for a relaxed and engaging evening of live cooking, cultural stories, and a shared meal.
Born in Tokyo and based in Melbourne, Tim brings global flavours and rich food stories from his travels through Asia and the Middle East. Working with industry bodies, government and communities, he shares a unique perspective on the food we eat and where it comes from.
Through live cooking demonstrations, Tim will guide you through flavours, techniques, and ingredients weaving in stories from markets, producers, and kitchens around the world.
First up is a Sri Lankan Spice Journey - a flavour-focused experience exploring spices and balance, preparing a vibrant curry-style dish with accompaniments. We discuss how to use spices confidently, along with some of the history behind the spice trade, before sitting down together to enjoy the meal.
