Viqarunnisa Alumni Australia (VAAUS) Supporting AIM Initiative Foundation – Give a Child the Gift of Education

This World Charity Month, AIM Initiative Foundation is hosting a special webinar to highlight their Sponsor a Child Initiative, helping children in Bangladesh continue their education despite financial hardship.

VAAUS is proud to support AIM’s work and our continued connection with their meaningful initiatives. In 2024, VAAUS supported AIM’s flood relief efforts, and in 2025, we supported their school in Dhaka by sponsoring school benches.

This year, we are pleased to support their Sponsor a Child Initiative and encourage our alumni, families, friends and wider community to consider making a personal sponsorship directly through AIM.

For just BDT 1,500 per month , you can help a child stay in school, access quality education and have the opportunity to build a brighter future.

A small monthly contribution can make a lifelong difference.

CHANGE THE STORY — MEN AS CHAMPIONS

At the VAAUS Grand Reunion & Charity Event in November 2025, VAAUS proudly donated AUD $10,000 to support initiatives focused on creating safer, more respectful and inclusive communities.

Through this funding, Alo Enlightened Women Incorporated “Change the Story: Men as Champions” — a powerful event that brought men together to have honest conversations about respect, equality, women’s safety and the important role men can play in creating positive change.

The day encouraged participants to reflect on their experiences, challenge assumptions and explore practical ways to speak up, support women’s wellbeing and become active allies in their homes, workplaces and communities.

A strong message emerged: many men want to make a difference. With the right tools, confidence and opportunity, they can turn that intention into action.
This is more than a conversation. It is a step towards changing attitudes, building understanding and creating safer communities for everyone.

Through the funds raised at the VAAUS Grand Reunion in November 2025, we are proud to support the Change the Story initiative, providing funding to CDNI and ALO Enlighten Women to create opportunities for dialogue, understanding and action towards safer, more respectful and inclusive communities.

🎥 We’re proud to look back at the Cultural Diversity Network Incorporated- CDNI “Men’s Voice for Women’s Safety” community events, including the session held on 8 June and the second session on 2 August, both proudly supported by VAAUS.

These events brought people from diverse backgrounds together to have meaningful conversations about the important role men can play in promoting women’s safety and creating positive change.
