Well, it’s been a little over a year now since we decided to bring back the biggest motorcycle event in Victoria, Melbourne Bike Night.
At first, creating a catch up for riders seemed simple, the numbers were always going to be daunting because as the host of the previous Bike Night (the one from 2019 under the Bolte bridge) I knew the warmer meets would be big but what I never expected was the event to grow to what it is now.
We have official sponsors, big names in the industry attending Bike Night, over 1,000 people at our biggest nights through summer and an amazing location so graciously offered to us by Shannons insurance.
But it doesn’t stop at Bike Night, with BBQ meets at big earls in Port Melbourne and amazing Bikes and Coffee meets at Highside in Balwyn we have been able to offer something fun for a community we truly love.
Through our charity events we have been able to raise over $1,200 for the Good Friday appeal and give lonely people a Christmas lunch with fellow riders.
What we have achieved and how far it has come is amazing but the goal is unchanged. We will ALWAYS stay a home grown, community focussed event organiser.
Thats why i’m posting this, as a shoutout to you.
The followers, friends and everyone who has attended anything Melbourne Bike Meets has hosted, thank you.
Whether it’s for a good time or a good cause, this incredible community never ceases to amaze us when it comes together and none of the fun times, heartwarming moments or great meets would have been possible without all of you.
Keep an eye on the socials for the next Melbourne Bike Night, we are working to make the next 12 months the biggest this community has even seen.
