LOOK: The Filipino-Australian Association of Ballarat Inc. (FAABI) celebrated 35 years of being an established pillar and representative of the Filipinos in the Ballarat region. Also attending the gala was MP Juliana Addison, a great supporter of the community.

LOOK: The Philippine Consulate General hosted an exhibit of works from the Agusan-Butuan Artists Collective entitled “Balangay: a Transpacific Journey”. The works were made on abaca and showcased Philippine maritime traditions. These were brought over by Toni Aguilar, and during the opening, she described the different ways the works showed the relationship of the Filipino to the water. Also featured was Filipino artist Amangpintor, who gave live demonstrations of his artistic process.
