The 13-year-old was last seen in the Port Melbourne area on 24 August about 2.30pm.
Police and family have concerns for Daniel due to his age.
He is likely to be utilising public transport.

We’ve charged a Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) prospect as part of an investigation into a road rage incident.

The 38-year-old East Bentleigh man has since been charged with criminal damage and public display of prohibited insignia.

The charges follow an incident where an 18-year-old woman was driving along Dandenong Road in Murrumbeena around 11pm on Monday, 17 August.

Detectives will allege she was then cut off and forced to stop by the vehicle being driven by the East Bentleigh man.

On this day, one year ago, two of our colleagues were tragically killed in the line of duty.

Today, and every day, we remember Detective Leading Senior Constable Neal Thompson and Senior Constable Vadim de Waart-Hottart and the tragedy that occurred in Porepunkah on 26 August 2025.

We thank everyone for their support and solidarity on this difficult day.

We will remember them.

Detectives from Moorabbin Criminal Investigation Unit have charged a man following a Bentleigh carjacking and Eastlink collision early yesterday morning.

It is alleged the 21-year-old man was a passenger in a Porsche that was stolen during a carjacking from Godfrey Street about 9.20pm.

The Clayton man has been charged with:
- aggravated carjacking
- armed robbery
- unlawful assault
- reckless conduct endangering serious injury
- theft of motor vehicle

The male was remanded by police to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

The charges relate to the alleged theft of a white Porsche from a 44-year-old woman as she was reversing out of her driveway and confronted by a group of offenders, one armed with a large kitchen knife.

We’re releasing images of a vehicle similar to the one involved in a fatal crash in Beaumaris earlier this week.

Emergency services were called after a white Volkswagen sedan crashed onto the Bay Trail from Beach Road about 12.30am on Tuesday morning.

The driver, a 23-year-old Carrum Downs man, was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital where he remains under police guard.

A 38-year-old Blind Bight man, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are urging who was driving along Chesterville Road, Moorabbin about 12.15am, or Charman Road and Beach Road, Beaumaris from about 12.15pm until the time of the collision, to check their dashcam.
