Thank-you to all of our families for your support of our little kinder over the last week.

A little kinder, with a strong community, last nights council meeting was a success, with a verbal committment that no community kinders will close. We await the minutes of the meeting to understand the finer points, but for now our little kinder is safe.

We cannont thank our families enough for all of you have done.

Thank-you to our commitee of management for leading us through this challenging time - all volunteers - working toward saving the kinder for future families.

Equally a huge thank-you to all of the families for sharing our petition, making written submissions, rounding up the troops and organising a protest. Right down to little Alex from our three year old group who wrote a letter to the councillors and hand delivered it.

Thank-you finally to Helen Paul Kindergarten, we were thrown into this without any warning, and it was great the way our communities alongside all Bayside Kindergartens were able to stand together as one. Together our little Community Kinders are Mighty!

Join us at 4:15pm and lets show Bayside City Council, Victoria that our community kinders are built on just that - COMMUNITY - something that can't be replaced with a giant hub for children.

🛑HALT THE HUB – FUND COMMUNITY KINDERS!

Hampton Community Kindergarten needs your support right now.

Bayside City Council, Victoria is considering a recommendation that would abandon plans to
expand Hampton Community Kindergarten and Helen Paul Kindergarten on its existing sites,
replacing them with a large centralised children's hub at Castlefield Reserve, Hampton.

This recommendation was developed without any community consultation, and the feasibility report it is based on has not been made available to the public or to our own Committees of Management.

This Tuesday 21 April, Bayside City Council is holding a Council meeting where this matter
may be decided. We need as many voices as possible before and during that meeting.

Here is what you can do right now:

Tell them you oppose the recommendation to abandon the Hampton Community and Helen
Paul kinder expansions, and that you want genuine community consultation before any
decision is made.
