ons to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care. Robina Scott Kindergarten is committed to regularly training and educating our Committee members, staff and volunteers on child safety. We seek to educate the wider community on child safety and empower them with knowledge to speak up against abuse and discrimination. We are committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, the cultural safety of children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.

We are excited to share our upcoming family portrait fundraiser. This is a great event for the whole family, the team at Aver and Line make the day so fun, your kids will be engaged and best of all, you can see your photos on the day.

The event will happen on the last weekend of the month (30 and 31st August) at the Williamstown Botanic Gardens.

Robina Scott Kinder have once again created our National Reconciliation Week ‘Path to Reconciliation’ foyer display this week, with artwork from the children that showcases their learning. Red Group explored the art and books of Bronwyn Bancroft and created art inspired by her colourful illustrations to represent our local Bunurong Country as well as a bridge in keeping with the ‘Bridging now to next’ theme, whilst Yellow Group created a gigantic rainbow serpent as part of their exploration of First Nation’s Dreaming stories. Down at Cecil Street, our Pink and Green groups have been creating a ‘Sea of Hearts’ wall which emphasises the importance of creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships. Blue and Oranges creations to be added to our display very soon!

We extend an invite to all in the community to visit our foyer at 105 Ferguson Street to view our display. We are also raising funds this National Reconciliation Week for Children's Ground, a wonderful First Nations organisation providing education, health and employment services for families in the top end and central Australia. All donations made online will be DOUBLED TODAY (WEDNESDAY) & TOMORROW (THURSDAY) ONLY!! Such a great cause and a great opportunity to raise some extra funds! https://wearityellow.org.au/rb

Maryanne Carland has been a stalwart at Robina Scott Kindergarten for almost 27 years. It is now time for her hang up her art smock as she enters retirement. We extend an open invitation to all in the community who have benefited from her education and care over the years by joining us at Ferguson Street for afternoon tea, reminisce, say thank you and farewell to Maryanne.

A spectacular achievement for our leadership today. Our passion project, funded by West Gate Tunnel Project and with many contributing hands from our Hobsons Bay Early Childhood sector has wrapped up!
We have successfully hosted our celebration of leaders within the early childhood space and acknowledged those who work tirelessly in the background to ensure that all children in Hobsons Bay get the best early learning experience. Thank you to all who attended, and to the early years team at Hobsons Bay City Council, Kristine, our wayipungitj, and Sarah Louise Consultancy for presenting today.

The best way to end the week is with a visit to Robina Scott Kindergarten!
