Moorabbin Area Toy Library (MATL) Toys, games and puzzles for children and families, join for access. Affordable Kids' Party hire too! Play is an essential element of a child’s early life.

Welcome to the Moorabbin Area Toy Library
Moorabbin Area Toy Library has served families in the area since 1987. We operate as a non-profit community organisation, run predominantly by our members and volunteers. Play enables them to interact and learn about themselves and the world around them. The aim of the toy library is to support families in enhancing their children’s play by supplying members with the tools for play. The wide range of quality toys, puzzles and games exposes children to a range of play experiences that:
- are age appropriate
- help lay the foundations for a love of learning which lasts a lifetime
- assists them in the achievement of physical and mental development milestones
- inspires their imaginations and encourages creativity. We also have a range of toys suitable for children with special needs and specific age milestones. Come visit us and see how your family can benefit from being members of the toy library! Membership payment can be made by credit card, through our PayPal system, or via cash or cheque.

Our next free Stay and Play session for local families this Spring is on tomorrow morning!

Little ones can play, explore and discover something new, while their grown-ups connect with other local families, thanks to the support of a Social Cohesion Grant from the Glen Eira City Council.

When: 9:30–11am, fortnightly Mondays, continuing through October and November.

Let us know you're coming along by registering for the event. Space is limited, so this helps us plan. Bring a friend, as everyone is welcome!

Thank goodness it's Friday!
Also, how many toys is this counted as at the Toy Library?
Just two! Our baby toys often come in bundles to keep them entertained while not blowing out your borrowing limits. With our most basic membership, you can borrow 4 games and 1 puzzle at any time.

Magnetic tiles + garage door = endless fun!

Now that the weather is warming up, playing outside is so much easier! This activity was a huge hit with our little ones. It kept them entertained for ages and brought some joy to everybody who walked past!

We have lots of different magnetic tile sets available. What can you create at home?

Have you ever noticed how fast kids outgrow their obsessions? One week it's dinosaurs or it's nothing, and the next, it's all about space.

That is the true magic of a toy library membership! Let us help you keep up with their interests without having to buy new toys every week while keeping clutter to a minimum.
