Thirty-thousand Australians were involved in landings at Brunei Bay on 10 and 16 June. The town and airfield of Labuan were captured on the first day but strong Japanese resistance on the island continued until 21 June.

Join us for the Last Post Service, our weekly tradition honouring wartime service and sacrifice.
Each service commemorates a unique chapter in Australia's military history — through bugle calls, wreath-laying, and the lowering of flags. All are welcome.
