Today’s my birthday and I’m doing a shout-out to all friends and animal-lovers….
Bunnies of the Burrow need our help!

Their vet bill currently stands at $5,534.70 and we desperately need to get it paid!!

If everyone who read this were to donate just the price of a coffee (or more, if you can,) this would help reduce that bill quite dramatically and ease the stress on our beautiful friend Brontye, who does so much for the animals who come into her care.

Donations can be made directly to their vet account:

Ps. NOTE: The fabulous vet and vet nurses in these photos (Dr Gerry Skinner from The Rabbit Doctors in Melbourne, Nurse Sarah & Nurse Ally) donated their time and all vaccinations and equipment on the day - supporting the day-to-day work done by Dr Nikki & the team at Launceston Exotic Animal Hospital 💗

Last Sunday, a small group of volunteers from Melbourne flew to Launceston, Tasmania, for their annual visit to Bunnies Of The Burrow (BOTB) - a small home-based refuge for dumped, abandoned & special-needs bunnies, run by our beautiful friend, Brontye Cahill.
The team was led by the incredible Dr Gerry Skinner, co-Director of The Rabbit Doctors, awesome vet nurse Sarah, also from TRD, vet nurse Ally from the UK & 2 passionate bunny mummies & supporters of BOTB.

22 bunnies were given full health checks, annual Filavac vaccinations, mani-pedis and LOTS of cuddles (except for the very nervous wildings, who were handled with great care & swiftly returned to their ‘Wildings Room’ to minimise stress).

Running a small home-based refuge requires great sacrifice! You give up every spare space, all of your time, you can’t take holidays, you almost never get a full night’s sleep and there’s a constant cycle of cleaning, feeding, medications, more cleaning, piles of laundry….and those never-ending vet bills! Brontye is one of a small group of crazy, big-hearted, amazing earth angels without whom all of these beautiful, gentle creatures would have become roadkill, been killed for pet/human food, eaten by foxes, dogs etc, or died excruciatingly painful deaths through myxo or calicivirus.
Dr Gerry generously supplies all of the vaccinations, her time, the airfares and shares her decades of experience and knowledge during these visits, supporting the ongoing everyday care these bunnies receive from the amazing Dr Nikki Tapp & team at Launceston Exotic Animal Hospital who are currently carrying a massive vet bill for Bunnies of the Burrow.

Please help us reduce this bill with a donation to:
