Today is International Nurses Day, where we remember and celebrate the incredible contribution of nurses throughout the country and the world.

During the time of COVID, when most are staying home and trying to stay safe, nurses continue to go to work to provide essential health care services.

Despite COVID wrecking havoc on most of our economy and stopping many activities from occurring; cancer, heart disease, diabetes and strokes are unfortunately unperturbed by such stoppages. These diseases still need to be treated by nurses and other health professionals, even in a climate where their job is very dangerous due to the outbreak.

So today we should all pause and give thanks for the incredible work these valiant citizens do often in the face of extraordinary pressure and often too little recognition.

We would like to say thank you. To all the nurses today on National Nurses Day. The hard work they have done especially in this time does not go unnoticed. And today, especially, we want to show our gratitude. To nurses that have been working for the majority of their lives, nurses that have just started this year, and everyone in between. We thank you for everything you have done, whether it be in hospitals, at home care, nursing homes, or anything of the like. We thank you for all the hard work and dedication you put forward to help those around you. We appreciate everything you do.

Today is for you.

International students give so much to Victoria – contributing $12.6 billion to the Victorian economy last financial year and supporting around 79,000 jobs.

We need to look after them in their time of need and ensure that we can all emerge from the other side of this pandemic in a position to quickly rebuild.

We stand in solidarity with our Subcontinent Friends of Labor Victoria (SCFOL VIC) in fully condemning the attack on two international students from China that took place in Melbourne CBD. Victorian Labor Students will always stand against any kinds of violence and abuse to any international students who come to Australia to pursue their education.

Our diversity is one of the greatest strengths of our community, and violence, abuse or harassment will not be tolerated.

The two female students were walking along Elizabeth Street when a stranger taunted them about coronavirus, according to Nine News.

The boys from RMIT are out and about talking good values and the suburban rail loop to voters in Monbulk.

They want a suburban rail loop because they know it'll be easier to get to uni, the city and anywhere else they may need to go.

Want a suburban rail loop? Vote Labor tomorrow!

Look at these lovely Deakin humans campaigning in the wilderness. They're voting Labor because they know that free TAFE means better access to work, and better access to work means a happier life style.

We all went to the Labor Rally for Dan Andrew's this weekend. It's so great to see the current Premier talk about his plans for the future.

We're excited for the suburban rail loop, free TAFE and tough wage-theft laws. Also, the fact that we can now keep our doggo's and kitty's at our rentals is fantastic.

Dont forget to vote Labor this weekend!
