Maidstone Community Centre Maidstone Community Centre is a fun, friendly and welcoming centre managed by Maribyrnong City Council.

The Centre provides a range of programs, workshops and activities for all members of the community.

This month is Plastic Free July, a global movement helping millions reduce single-use plastics, and you can be part of it.

It's as easy as taking a pledge to swap out:
- plastic drink bottles for reusable drink bottles
- single-use coffee cups for reusable cups
- single-use shopping/produce bags for reusable bags
- packaged food for food sold in bulk (BYO container/bag)

Remember to sign up with your postcode to help track our community’s collective impact when registering for the Plastic Free July Challenge.

Council will also be hosting a range of free events and activities will take place across Maribyrnong, including workshops, pop-up roadshows, and a community celebration. Highlights include the popular ‘Flags to Bags’ and beeswax wrap-making sessions.

These fun drop-in sessions will keep your toddlers and pre-schoolers happily painting, cutting and pasting to create individual works of art! The garden will also be open to attendees with a sandpit, veggie plots and lots of outside toys to keep them entertained! This program is suited to children aged 18 months to 5 years.
Time: 9.30-11am
