The St Kilda Community Gardens Club allows local residents to grow their own flowers, herbs, fruit and vegetables. It is a non-profit organization, self-funded from membership fees, which range from $30 to $90 p.a. and entitle our members and their families to a personal garden plot and access to shared facilities. We are also planning to offer associate membership ($30 p.a.) for people who simply want access to the gardens and involvement in the Club’s social activities (currently suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions). The income from membership fees pays for essential running costs. Club members also work as a group towards overall maintenance of the Gardens and improvement of the facilities. The Gardens are located at 2-5 Railway Place, a short walk from Balaclava train station. All residents of the City of Port Phillip are eligible to apply for membership, but there is a long waiting list.
