Two directors of the NSC, Neil Jenkins (founder) & Sean Frazer, will shortly be resigning.

A Victorian Parliamentary Committee looks set to recommend duck hunting be banned, but will the Andrew Government do it?

FOR THOSE OF YOU IN VICTORIA who hate the way the upper house of Parliament works (with obscure minor parties getting elected through trading preferences), there is hopefully some good news on the horizon.

On Thursday and Friday this week (10 and 11 Aug), a parliamentary committee that was set up to look at how the last Vic State Election was run will be holding public hearings.

We'll be following these hearings closely, as the current system is stacked against shooters because of the number of small left wing parties that have been able to get their own people up - like the Animal Justice Party, Hinch and so on.

The sooner they get rid of the system, the easier it will be to stop the circus around duck shooting.

Team Australia is heading off to Pilsen, Czech Republic later this month to compete in the WRABF World Championships! This competition is running from 26th July to 4th August, we wish our athletes the best of luck! Stay tuned to TRA's website & media pages for updates on the results.

We've written to all law institutes and societies urging them to issue 'practice notes' to stop lawyers recommending that IVOs and DVOs be issued against shooters just because they hold firearm licences.

It's an abuse of a system that is there to protect individuals from violence, not to enable others to get revenge.

The NSC has asked all law institutes and societies to develop 'practice notes' to stop partners from misusing intervention orders against shooters
