Les Twentyman Foundation The Les Twentyman Foundation provides crucial support for young people and families. We reconnect young people with their families, schools and communities.

Our grass-roots programs cover education, sports, counselling and employment pathways. Founded by Les Twentyman OAM, the Les Twentyman Foundation (formerly the 20th Man Fund) provides crucial support services for young people and their families. 20th Man Fund programs and services cover education-support, sports and recreation, counselling, personal development, life–experiences and employment pathways. Young people in Melbourne’s West are facing increasing hardship that ultimately leads to behavioral problems. The pressure placed on a young person living in a low socio-economic area is not well understood by the general population. This pressure leads to the young person disconnecting from society in general, sinking into extreme levels of low self esteem and self-worth and engaging in high-risk activity. The Les Twentyman Foundation aims to reconnect them with their families and communities enabling them to reach their full potential and make a positive contribution to society.

Christmas should be a time of joy, celebration and giving. But for families experiencing disadvantage, the festive season can bring added financial pressure and can be a difficult time.

That’s why the Les Twentyman Foundation collects new gifts for children and young people experiencing disadvantage, helping make sure they have something special to unwrap on Christmas morning. 🧡

Grill’d Yarraville generously donated 200 vouchers, giving us the opportunity to recognise and reward our ‘Player of the Week’, each week, from each team.

It’s a great way to celebrate the effort, commitment and positive attitude our young people bring to the court each week.

A huge thank you to our friends at Cambridge University Press Education Australia for taking the time to volunteer with us and pack stationery packs for our 2026/27 Back-to-School Program.🧡

Since 1989, our Back-to-School Program has helped more than 21,500 students stay engaged in education by providing essential resources including textbooks, stationery, laptops and calculators.

Last year, we supported 1,154 students, and with the growing financial pressures facing families, we’re expecting demand for the program to be even greater this year.

The stationery packs prepared by the team will help young people head back to school with the essentials they need to feel prepared and ready to learn in 2027.

We’re also incredibly grateful to the team for generously allowing us to store our stationery packs at their warehouse. This support makes a huge difference in helping us prepare and distribute resources to young people across our community.

Some young people from our Fautasi program had an absolute ball at PUMA Head Office recently! 🧡

A huge thank you to the team at Puma for welcoming our young people to their headquarters and giving them an inside look at what goes on behind the scenes for upcoming and professional athletes. 🤾

From touring the facility to learning more about the work that goes into supporting athletes, it was a great opportunity for our young people to see a different side of the sporting world, explore new possibilities and be inspired by what could be ahead.

Young people at The Grange spent weeks preparing a special cultural performance, which they proudly presented to family and friends recently. 🧡

Co-mentored by LTF Youth Worker Miracle, the Grange Multicultural Group brought family, friends and fellow students together through culture, performance and connection.

The group shared a powerful message:
“Culture is not a colour or a shape. Culture is what you embrace. Culture is what unites us, not what divides us.”

The performance provided a meaningful opportunity for young people to celebrate their culture, build confidence and strengthen connections within their community.

Behind every young person is a story, a family and often a parent who is doing everything they can to find the right support.

We recently received this beautiful message from a mum who has watched her son grow and change over the past year. Her words are a powerful reminder of the difference that consistent support, connection and simply having someone there can make. 👏

We’re proud to be part of his journey — and grateful to every Youth Worker who shows up, builds trust and never gives up on a young person.

Sometimes, the biggest changes start with someone simply saying, “I’m here.”

What a night for our Braybrook 96ers! 🏀🏅

Last night, we came together to celebrate another huge winter season and recognise the incredible effort our players have put in both on and off the court.

From the growth and determination shown throughout the season to the friendships, teamwork and plenty of great memories along the way, there was so much to celebrate. None of it would be possible without our amazing volunteer coaches, families and supporters who continue to show up for our players every step of the way.

A huge thank you to Chloe, Rosie, Barry, Karim and the incredible team at Central West Shopping Centre for their generous support and for helping us make the night one to remember. 🧡

What a way to wrap up the Braybrook 96ers Winter Season! 🏀🏆

Finals are always exciting, and we were so proud to see our 96ers teams hit the courts and give it everything they had this weekend. From big wins to nail-biting games, the determination, teamwork and spirit shown by our players made for a fantastic finish to the season.

While the scores are always exciting, it’s the confidence, friendships and sense of belonging built along the way that make the 96ers so special.

A huge congratulations to all of our players on another great season, and a big thank you to our incredible volunteer coaches, families and supporters who continue to make the program possible.
