Alpaca Ceramics was started as a self care tool for a very busy and hectic professional Alpaca mum, who needed to practice what she preached! It has grown into a passion/obsession not just a form of relaxation and time out. Many a sleepless night has been spent on pintrest and you tube trying to absorb as much clay related info as possible, and sneaking into the small home studio just to have one
last play. For the The Alpaca Potter, 'potting' in the studio, is synonymous with relaxation, connection with friends and most importantly laughter. So don't get a shock if something a bit risque pops up every now and again. Perfection ain't gonna happen! So lets just throw that out there!! Clay is a magical thing that reacts differently each time you use it. So no one firing will turn out the same. Also, The Alpaca Potter ain't that type of Alpaca, who likes things perfect. It doesn't exist in her world, so would be unfair to offer it as a service. The beauty of handmade things is they're made by actual hands. Not machines or molds so each item will be imperfectly unique, and this Alpaca thinks thats beyond cool ( and actually makes it very hard for her to part with her items as celebrating uniqueness is her thing). Why Alpaca ceramics? Cause Alpacas are hilarious and great mums. And just looking at them makes her laugh. Does the Alpaca Potter realize her logo looks a bit...rude...? Yes. 110% :)
