Today is National Sorry Day, and tonight we light up purple to acknowledge the Stolen Generations and the ongoing trauma caused by those government policies that forcibly removed First Nations children from their families.

This year’s theme for National Sorry Day is ‘We cannot wait another generation’.

There is more work to be done for a reconciled Australia.

Happy International Synthesiser Day! ⚡

Today, May 23, celebrates the birthday of Robert Moog 🥳 so we thought we’d ask the expert (that’s co-founder Robin Fox) to learn why Moog was so important in the history of synthesisers and electronic music 🦾

🎛️ If you want to try out these amazing instruments at MESS for yourself, check out their program of intro workshops – or consider joining as a member.

💰 As it’s also coming up to EOFY, MESS has a fundraiser campaign happening, so if you’ve got some spare 💸 consider donating to help them expand accessibility to creative education for those who face financial and other barriers to getting through their doors.

Every cent goes directly to dedicated workshops, school programs, more subsidised places in courses and new pathways into courses for those who would benefit most.

Also, in feel-good news, for every dollar donated up until 31 May, Creative Australia will match the contribution, up to $50,000 – so you can double your impact.

Nice!
