(Regarding possible pause of operations due to police investigation)

Today while filming the aftermath of a garage fire which destroyed a home last night in Wantirna south we were involved in an altercation.

We were filming from across the road when we were approached and told to delete everything or else the police would be called.

As my camera man Jack was loading the camera gear into the car he was ran up on and physically assaulted. The camera was knocked the ground and gear was broken. Jack shoved the man of him and the man got up again before striking Jack in the face.

I grabbed the camera and placed it in the car before a woman rushed round grabbing me and attempting to take the camera.

Police were called by them and are currently taking statements which will help us apply for restitution for the damaged gear.

A few updates are due to be released tonight and we will work on those but we may be partly out of action whilst this is getting resolved.

Crews have raced to heritage way in lysterfield to reports of a Tesla battery smoking. The scene took over an hour to control, the homeowners had to re locate.

A 10 Year-old has been assaulted, his mum was then stabbed right outside police headquarters today while trying to protect her child.

In another incident a woman and a dog have been struck in an alleged hit run by what’s believed to be a stolen car which then allegedly rolled over inform of a Frankston school.

Something needs to change, stay safe out there

After the tragic incident yesterday, on behalf of the community

Thank you,
To our emergency services who raced in to try and save a life, to our paid and volunteer firefighters, our police officers, our paid and volunteer state emergency service members, to our paramedics and investigators. Thank you all.
I want to extend our thoughts and prayers to the witnesses and up standers who rushed towards a confronting situation and provided the initial first aid whilst comforting those in distress.
To the security, centre management and staff at Westfield Knox who guided confused and worried members of the public whilst attempting to maintain the privacy of those affected.

Incidents like what occurred yesterday are rough, they show us the worst of what accidents can bring but also, the best of humanity.
People racing towards trouble to save strangers, communities rallying together to support people in the worst days of their lives.

Our thoughts go out to all effected by the tragic loss of a young life

the 84 Year-old woman run over by a bus during yesterday’s tragic events at Knox city shopping centre remains in a critical condition in the Alfred hospital.

No comment was given in regards to what treatment she is receiving.
