The canteen will have many delicious hot and cold food options. Some of these include mini pies, sausage rolls, chicken nuggets, and garlic bread with cold drinks and ice blocks.

Bring your cash or card for a lovely snack and support our Secondary Support students with their fundraising for excursions and community access programs.

Yesterday, we held our annual Spelling Bee for Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3.

Six finalists from each stage represented their year groups and competed wonderfully. We are so proud of all our representatives for their effort, confidence and fantastic spelling skills.

Congratulations to our stage winners:

Stage 2: Deegan
Stage 3: Jace

Our Stage 2 and Stage 3 winners will now move on to the next stage of the competition, which will take place next term.

We wish them the best of luck!

Boccia - Inclusive Sport

Yesterday, some of our amazing Support students took part in the Boccia Inclusive Sport event at Maitland Federation Centre.

They had a fabulous day, making new friends from different schools and showing incredible respect and encouragement throughout the competition.

Our Secondary team performed brilliantly, winning their pool and advancing to the final, where they played a tough match against Rutherford Technology High School. Although they didnโ€™t take home the overall win this time, we are incredibly proud of their hard work, sportsmanship, and team spirit.

Well done to all our students for representing our school with such positivity and determination! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘

Our Year 10 students recently had a memorable and insightful experience during their History excursion, where they engaged in a Q&A style discussion with two local Vietnam War veterans, Bobby and Tony. This unique opportunity allowed students to hear firsthand about life before military service, gain a deeper understanding of the realities and challenges faced during the Vietnam War, and learn about the veterans' experiences returning home.

Bobby and Tony shared personal stories about adjusting back to civilian life and the difficulties many veterans faced with their initial reception after the war. The students were also fascinated to see medals and memorabilia from their time in Vietnam, bringing history vividly to life.
This incredible encounter gave our students a profound appreciation for the sacrifices made and sparked thoughtful conversations about Australia's history and the importance of remembering those who served. Thank you to Bobby and Tony for their generosity in sharing their stories!
