Homicide Squad detectives have charged a seventh person as part of an investigation into the death of a man whose body was discovered in Tarneit last month.

Officers executed a search warrant in the Wyndham area yesterday afternoon.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested and interviewed by detectives.

He was charged with murder, aggravated home invasion, kidnapping and criminal damage by fire (arson).

The charges relate to the alleged kidnapping of a 30-year-old man from a Darius Terrace address in South Morang about 3am on 15 May.

It’s alleged the South Morang man was dragged out of his house and into a vehicle which fled the area.

Emergency services later responded to reports a man was located deceased in parkland near Bruny Drive in Tarneit about 4.30am.

It's also alleged the vehicle used in this incident was set alight on Mt Mary Road in Eynesbury later that morning.

As part of Operation Regal, the Boss of ventured from the palace this morning to oversee a royal round of preliminary breath testing and yes, he was delighted to see drivers making decisions fit for royalty.

The results?
🚔 239 drivers tested
✅ 0 drivers detected above the legal limit

It seems our loyal subjects got the royal message loud and clear!

The ring has some very distinctive markings that will be known by its owner.

That’s what we thought when recently attended this collision.

🏥 The driver of this vehicle somehow managed to survive.

🚓 The vehicles may have changed but the focus stays the same.

🫅 Over the King’s Birthday long weekend, will form part of Operation Regal, a statewide operation that will see Police out in force reminding motorists that safe driving never goes out of fashion.

⏱️ Whether it’s 1986 or 2026, everyone deserves to get home safely.

😥 DAMAGE CAUSED AT CEMETERY 😥

📣 Between April 16th, 2026, at 12:30pm and April 20th, 2026, at 11:00am, offender/s attended the Diamond Creek Cemetery and damaged two headstones.

💔 One was constructed of marble, being approximately one hundred years old. This headstone was pushed over and completely smashed. The other was a redgum cross displaying Jewish writing, which was pushed over and removed from the earth.

👀 Police are seeking any witnesses or any other relevant information.

An alleged driver has been arrested after a stolen vehicle reached alleged speeds of 120km/h in a 60 zone in Melbourne’s north early hours this morning.

Officers on patrol caught site of an allegedly stolen silver Subaru Liberty on Barry Road in Campbellfield about 1am.

Police kept eyes on the vehicle as travelled along Mahoney’s Road.

Officers attempted to intercept the Subaru before it allegedly took off at speed, reaching 120km/h in a 60 zone.

The Subaru was allegedly dumped on High Street before the driver took off on foot along the Broadway.

With the assistance of the dog squad, the alleged driver was arrested sitting at a bus stop in the vicinity.

A 31-year-old Donnybrook man will be interviewed by investigators.

Investigators allege the Subaru was stolen from a Mickleham address in May.

The arrest and stolen vehicle recovery forms part of Operation Nighthawk.
