There is lots of fear mongering about the New Vichle Fuel Efficiency (NVFE) proposal. Outlandish claims that prices of vehicles are going up and it’s a “carbon tax”.

Don’t listen to their lies.

The groundbreaking new model allows patients who need urgent non-life-threatening care to be triaged and receive expert clinical treatment from the comfort of home.

And it’s now available to patients statewide.

As well as taking pressure off emergency departments, it limits people with contagious illnesses from presenting at hospitals - protecting hard-working health staff like Reece from exposure.

It’s just one way we’re using technology through the Queensland Health and Hospitals Plan to provide a world class health system.

This service is open from 8am to 10pm everyday. You can click this link, then under Patients click on Virtual ED (patients) and your there.

The Metro North Health Service have been refining their Virtual ED since 2020.

It’s proven so successful that it’s now available to Queenslanders statewide, seven days a week from 8am-10pm.

I noticed yesterday that the LNP are out there bashing our health heroes again. It’s so shameful.

I want to thank our health heroes for everything they do each day to care for Queenslanders who need you most. There will always be challenges, yet you face them with dignity and strength.

What roads around Millmerran are continually washed away every time it floods?

Super proud to tell everyone that last week I successfully got a motion passed at the state Labor conference about our roads.

The motion is to implement a “built it back better” program so that roads that are damaged by floods, in the same place every time, can be re-built to withstand future floods.

I’ve heard from many people that they are annoyed by the same parts of roads being damaged every time it floods, and we should just built it back better so that it’s not always damaged.

I’ll now work towards implementation of this for the betterment of our community.

I was speaking to the Minister for Transport, Mark Bailey MP, in particular about the Leichhardt Highway crossings at Mittengang and Billa Billa Creeks.
