🎉🏫 113 YEARS OF MILMAN STATE SCHOOL!🏫🎉

From 1913 to 2026, Milman State School has certainly seen plenty of changes — and we know there are still many more exciting changes yet to come! ❤️💚

Our little school continues to grow and thrive. Last year, we had just 5 students enrolled, and this year we are incredibly excited to have grown to 13 students! 🌱✨

And the future is looking even brighter, with an exciting possibility occurring at Milman State School next year. 🥰

For 113 years, Milman State School has been part of our local community, educating generations of children and creating countless memories along the way.

We are so excited about what lies ahead for our wonderful little school. Exciting times are ahead for Milman!❤️💚

🐾🍲 WOMBAT STEW PLAYGROUP!🍲🐾

Our next Milman State School Playgroup is coming up on Wednesday 12th August, and this time we’re getting inspired by the much-loved story Wombat Stew! 🐨📚

Our playgroup sessions have been wonderfully busy lately, and we have absolutely loved welcoming both new and existing families through our doors. 💚❤️ It has been fantastic seeing so many little ones playing, creating, exploring and making new friends!

Come along for another fun-filled morning with some Wombat Stew-inspired activities and plenty of opportunities for our little learners to explore and play.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming our local Rockhampton firefighters to Milman State School for an engaging and hands-on fire safety session. 🚒🔥

Our students learnt five very important fire safety messages that could one day save a life:
🔥 000 is the number to call
🔥 Stop, Drop and Roll
🔥 Get down low and Go, Go, Go
🔥 When out, Stay out
🔥 Don't hide – Scream and Shout

After learning these important safety tips, students had the exciting opportunity to use the fire hose and explore the fire truck, discovering all the incredible equipment and gadgets our firefighters use to keep our communities safe.

A huge thank you to Craig, Ned (Lachlan), Brenton and Miriam for taking the time to visit our school and for sharing your knowledge, skills and experiences with our students. We are incredibly grateful for your commitment to educating our young people about fire safety and for the amazing work you do in our community every day. 👨‍🚒❤️

🌟 A Huge Congratulations to Nyssa!🌟

It is with immense pride that I share some wonderful news from Milman State School.

Last Monday, 27 July, Nyssa proudly represented our school at District Athletics in High Jump. We are thrilled to announce that Nyssa successfully cleared 1.23 metres, earning her a place at the Capricornia Athletics in Mackay!

This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to Nyssa's hard work, determination and commitment. To progress from District to Capricornia is something to be incredibly proud of, and we couldn't be happier to celebrate this exciting milestone with our school community.

Congratulations, Nyssa! We wish you all the very best as you represent Milman State School at the Capricornia Athletics. We know you'll give it your absolute best, and we'll all be cheering you on every step of the way! 💙💛👏
