It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Milton Rural Fire Brigade Life Member, Robert Milojevic (Bob Milo).
Bob dedicated more than a decade of service to the NSW Rural Fire Service, joining Milton Brigade in March 2010. Throughout his time with the brigade, he held numerous leadership and support roles, including Secretary, Treasurer, Permit Officer, Deputy Captain, Senior Deputy Captain and Captain. In recognition of his outstanding commitment and contribution to the brigade, Bob was awarded Life Membership in 2020.
Beyond his local brigade, Bob was also an active member of the Shoalhaven Community Engagement Team, helping to educate and support our community. He was passionate about developing his skills, completing many qualifications throughout his service, and was always willing to step forward wherever he was needed.
Those who served alongside Bob remember him as a welcoming leader with a great sense of humour, someone who made new members feel at home and who built strong friendships through training, local incidents and deployments further afield. His dedication to the brigade and the wider Rural Fire Service was evident in everything he did.
Bob's legacy will continue through the people he mentored, the brigade he helped shape and the community he served with pride.
