๐ŸŒฟ Community Conversations
Creating space for conversations that matter โ€” to you and our community

Weโ€™re launching a new series of relaxed, informal gatherings where we come together to talk about the things that matter.

๐Ÿ’ฌ First up: Life & Loss โ€“ End of Life Planning

Join us for a cuppa and a gentle conversation about life, loss, and planning ahead. Whether youโ€™re curious, prepared, or just want to listen, you are welcome.

Weโ€™re joined by special guest Janine, an End of Life Doula from Weight of a Feather, who will help guide and support the conversation.

๐Ÿค What is an End of Life Doula?
An End of Life Doula is a non-medical support person who provides emotional, practical, and informational support to individuals and families navigating the final stages of life. They help create a calm, supported space to talk, plan, and reflect.

031230PD: Commercial Hotel, Mingenew, Licensee Alf Harris, ca. 1910

In 1913 a somewhat unique accident was experienced by Mr. Alf Harris of the Commercial Hotel who had a horse fall down a 60ft well. Several hours were occupied pulling the animal out that was found to have no injury from either the fall or the emersion.
The horse was on view at the Hotel stables the following day and was inspected by a fair number of people, who unanimously agreed, that the fact of the horse being alive was a miracle. (The Geraldton Express)
