1 in 3 Australians will need blood or blood products in their lifetime, equating to over 9.2 million people. While roughly 57% of Australians are eligible to donate blood, only 3% do. To keep up with demand, over 29,000 donations are needed each week!

Today we thank all those who take time to donate their blood โ€” you are the lifeblood of our community! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฉธ

Pictured are our staff members Megan, Sytske, Tiarna and Dan doing their part by donating blood to help save lives. โค๏ธ

First responders are ordinary people. They have families, friends, commitments, and homes to go to at the end of their working day. Yet, they dedicate every day to protecting our communities and keeping us safe.

When an emergency arises, these ordinary people become heroes in someone's moment of need. Thank A First Responder Day is a day for exactly that - giving our gratitude to those who sacrifice their time and energy keeping our community safe. THANK YOU! โ™ฅ๏ธ

Smiles all around for Men's Health Week!

Mental health is often overlooked in men's health due to stigmas, so it's important to look after yourself in more ways than just eating healthy and exercising. Socialising with friends and family can have a massive impact on your mood, energy, and wellbeing.

Volunteering can also improve your mental health by fostering new friendships, developing new skills, and supporting your community. Consider joining our team as a volunteer today! ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://www.stjohnwa.com.au/changelives/volunteer

How beautiful is the Great Southern?! ๐Ÿ˜

In honour of World Environment Day, here is a great shot of Bald Head Track from one of our paramedics Jan-Willem Weeda.

Be sure to take care when exploring our wonderful region. Remember to take only photos and leave only footprints to help maintain its beauty and health ๐Ÿ’š
