To vote in the upcoming council elections, you must be enrolled on the South Australian electoral roll. 📜

But did you know that other than being a resident, you may be eligible to vote in a council election as a:

✅Non-resident owner/occupier
✅Body corporate that is the sole owner/occupier of a rateable property
✅Landlord
✅Part of a group (joint owners/occupiers of a facility).

Make sure you're enrolled and your details are correct before the roll closes at 5pm, Monday 4 January.

A big congratulations to all of our Youth Achievement Awards winners, runners-up and nominees! 👏

This year, we received an incredible 50 nominations across eight award categories, recognising young people aged 12 to 25 who are making a difference in our community. It’s fantastic to see the many ways our young people are contributing, and we were so proud to celebrate and recognise their achievements at this year’s awards night.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a young person, our Youth Leaders who helped organise the event, and our generous sponsors for supporting the awards - Kumon Modbury Education Centre, The Grove SA, My Local Physio Plus, Datacom, Golden Grove Lions Club, Tea Tree Players Theatre, Benefitness & Health Centre & Cafe Verde.

This Book Week, we welcomed the Primary school leaders from Torrens Valley Christian School for a behind-the-scenes tour of our library. 📚

The students got to discover their local library in a whole new way. They joined our Thursday morning storytime and crafts session before getting special access to see our returns sorter up close, take a peek inside the external returns chute and discover the technology that helps our volunteers and staff keep the library running for the 1,000+ visitors who walk through our doors every day.

The students also had the opportunity to meet Marijka Ryan - Tea Tree Gully Mayor, tour the Council chambers and learn about Council and how it supports those who call The City of Tea Tree Gully home.

The Growing for Gold program lets kids try out new sports, stay active and make new friends – and helps parents by making those sports free to try! 🥋
